My name is Ross Houston and I am a Level Designer/ World Builder from Glasgow, Scotland.
I'm a passionate level designer and world builder with experience working with Unreal Engine 4/5. I'm eager to learn new skills to strengthen my skillset. I have experience in creating landscapes and terrains with world creator and world machine as well as creating level designs/concepts within photoshop. I also been learning 3D modelling in my spare time to strengthen my skillset.

Currently working on an unannounced project which includes ownership of levels and responsibility for concepting/designing these levels using paper and 2D designs, and then blocking out the designs in-engine. Other responsibilities include:
- Concepting/designing functional spaces and gameplay spaces,
- Blocking out open worlds
- Implementing gameplay systems and features
- Using blueprinting to create level-specific events, logic and gameplay
- Scripting mission-critical logic & and events, AI encounters and narrative-driven objectives.
- Implementing project-specific systems/blueprints within levels
- Ensuring the blocked-out spaces within various levels adhere to the immediate and ongoing narrative of
the project
- Creating and maintaining design documentation
- Mentoring other level designers

- Designing levels from paper concepts to full Blockout
- Designing gameplay logic and scripting for levels
