Post Scriptum - Oosterbeek

Oosterbeek is a village in the eastern part of the Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Renkum in the province of Gelderland, west of Arnhem. The village is known for its involvement in the September 1944 Battle of Arnhem, during which it was heavily damaged. General Roy Urquhart of Britain had his headquarters at Hotel Hartenstein. Oosterbeek was the landing zone of the British 1st Airlanding Brigade which participated in Operation Market Garden.

This level was featured in the chapter “The Bloody Seventh” and allows players to drop into the action via playable parachute sequences and also has many gliders spread around the fields and farmland around the village of Oosterbeek as well as the northern part of the village.
